The past few years have been difficult for most of us . If Covid and all that it forced on us is anything to go by, it taught us to live life and enjoy while we can and to do what makes you happy .

This was also all really brought home to me on NYE 2020, as it was then I suffered a heart attack. , Having never been really ill before in my life this was no pun intended a complete shock to my system .

Upon my return from hospital I decided to change my life and start living it to the full .

I took myself off to live and work in Florence Italy for a vast proportion of 2021, which was the most amazing experience ( you will see many images from my time in Italy) and when I returned to the UK full time in January 2022, I embarked on a new career in real estate and photography .

Hi and welcome to Silky Images .

Having had a number of careers in my life including sales manager, business owner, music teacher and pub/restaurant manager all of which I have thoroughly enjoyed and gained a lot from, I have now decided to move forward with another great passion in my life photography .

Whilst I have never been a particularly artistic sort of person (eg I got an E grade in High School for drawing a brick wall ), I have always had an eye for what looks good in an image .

Having spent a while on the other side of the camera, I also gained over the years, insight in to how to achieve these images. So…. about 5 years ago I bought myself a camera and started practicing and Silky Images was born
